Learn about the latest international developments and best practices at the Greenbuild International Forum. Organized by the World Green Building Council, iiSBE, and USGBC, the forum will be a unique opportunity to meet practitioners from around the world, to learn about green building movements in other countries, and to identify new partners and opportunities. We are pleased to announce that United Nations Under-Secretary-General Alicia Bárcena Ibarra will open the inaugural Greenbuild International Forum.

Buildings and communities are important contributors to global warming, but there are opportunities to significantly reduce this impact. Presenters will describe a few examples of successful programs, policies, regulations, and incentives that are reducing the impact of the built environment on global warming in different parts of the world, as well as several new international initiatives that are promoting action on climate change for buildings and communities.

2:00-3:30pm Market Transformation – Lessons Learned

Market transformation is a key element in the success of green building. This session will explore how markets are being transformed to address sustainable development and green buildings. It will include presentations from public and private sector representatives on innovations that work in a region, a country, or a city – cutting edge ideas on financing, policies and regulations, insurance, other incentives, and capacity building.
